Τελευταία απέκτησα δυο ψόφια Fujitsu Futro s700 απο το ebay στο αστρονομικό ποσό των 10 ευρώ το καθένα! Έχουν εναν amd t44r μονοπύρηνο στα 1,2Ghz , 2GB Ram με max τα 4GB ram και πρόσθεσα 120 GB msata. Θέλω να τα χρησιμοποιήσω σαν serverακια γενικής χρήσης κυρίως λόγω της χαμηλής κατανάλωσης των 10watt και φυσικά λόγω της εξωφρενικής τους τιμής!
Βέβαια για να πετύχει το project θα πρέπει να τρέχουν απαραίτητα κάποια debian based διανομή, μιας και θα τα χειρίζονται και άλλοι. Χρησιμοποιώ σε raspberry b+ (το παλιό) το diet pi και είμαι υπέρ ευχαρηστημένος απο την ταχύτητα που τελικά έχω με τη συγκεκριμένη διανομή.
Ψάχνοντας τι να βάλω στα Futro είδα οτι το diet pi βγαίνει και για x86. Τη Δευτέρα- Τρίτη θα κάνω τα τέστ αν και πιστεύω οτι δεν θα έχω κανένα πρόβλημα και θα συνεχίσω με νέο μήνυμα στο νήμα για τις επιδόσεις.
Παραθέτω και τα πακέτα που είτε είναι διαθέσιμα είτε είναι προεγκατεστημένα στο diet pi. Φυσικά δεν θα εγκαταστήσω desktop και η διανομή θα κινηθεί με τα απολυτως απαραίτητα. Θα αναφέρω μετά την εγκατάσταση αλλα και κατα τη χρήση επιδόσεις ή και προβλήματα
